PLACE: Tansley: Meet on Village Green
Near the swings. From Matlock drive 2 miles up the A615 for Alfreton. After
the Royal Oak pub turn left into Tansley onto Church Street. In 0.3 miles park
on roadside by the Village Green on your right.

WALK: Riber Castle and Lumsdale Valley Approx 5 miles. Climb up to Dethick and
Riber villages, and get a closer view of Riber Castle. Then descend into
Lumsdale Valley, Derbyshire’s best kept secret. Picturesque waterfalls with
ruins of old water mills. Tea and cake afterwards at Claire’s at Riber View
Close in Tansley.
